xhin's learning journey

Kia ora,   Two weeks ago, we started on bread unit. For our first task, we had to guess what type of bread was in the plastic bags, using our senses: Feel, see, touch,  and smell. Then Mrs Campbell showed us will happen when you put yeast, sugar, and warm water together with the balloons.I learnt that oxygen goes in, and carbon dioxide comes out(Or the other way around). I also learnt that yeast apparently eats the sugar, then makes layers of it?, and foam.   Kia ora Last week, we had been asked to join cantamath. There are a lot of things you do in cantamath, but as a class we all had to design a model and create it. We as a class have to make a poster for the new cantamath next year too.  There is one that we all can't participate on though, and it is you having to be in a team competing with other teams from other schools. They must compete by solving equations and they also need to be quick before the time runs out. We have about five weeks to finish our creations, after a week(or a month)(something like that) we will go to horncastle arena(We might not, because of covid19) For my creation, I am making these, but I might add more and change them slightly. Hello, This term, in technology, I am in the sewing class with ola 1. For the rest of the term, we are making teddy bears. For my teddy bear, I started to draw a mini bow,purse and a tootoo for some accessories and clothes.  This week, we have started on making a bear. First, we had to pick the fabric for its accessories. Next, We had to pin the bear template to the fabric, and cut it out after. I don't know what to name it yet, but I do know that it's a she.
