Spaghetti tower

Good morning,

This morning we had a competition, We had to make the tallest spaghetti tower out of all of the students in room three. We had raw pasta, tape, a marshmallow and some string, we had to do it in 18 minutes. When the timer started Milan and I started to make a base for the marshmallow. The first attempt we tied three pasta pieces together with string, but unfortunately it didn't work. Second attempt we did it again it didn't work. The third attempt we put tape around it and did work it then sadly broke and I realized it was very, very delicate and I was so scared we might not finish it. I finally revived it using lots of tape. The time stopped and we were announced third. I was happy.

The good thing about it was we came third, we received another marshmallow and I revived the tower!

The bad thing about it was it kept breaking, it kept falling down and it was very stressful. I don't want any changes next time.

Cantamath

  Kia ora Last week, we had been asked to join cantamath. There are a lot of things you do in cantamath, but as a class we all had to design a model and create it. We as a class have to make a poster for the new cantamath next year too.  There is one that we all can't participate on though, and it is you having to be in a team competing with other teams from other schools. They must compete by solving equations and they also need to be quick before the time runs out. We have about five weeks to finish our creations, after a week(or a month)(something like that) we will go to horncastle arena(We might not, because of covid19) For my creation, I am making these, but I might add more and change them slightly. Lit circle

Kia Ora, This week we started on lit circles. But before we started, we had to pick a book to read to explain about.
