Week 7 term 1

Hello,

This week, on Monday we started the second day of lawn bowls. For lawn bowls this week we had to be split in teams of 4 and we had to line up in one activity. There were eight activity's and we were also told that we get points if we scored a goal. The first instruction was that we had to get one ball for each team. For the first activity there were four circle mats. We scored 60 goals two twenty's and one ten. For the second one we scored around 50 and in the two other activity's we didn't score. My favorite activity was the fourth one because i got about 70 points.

On Tuesday we had technology and Saint Patrick day, so we had to wear green in technology. For technology we made toasties and smoothies because I was in Ola one, which is cooking. After lunch we went outside to make a big clover, Mrs O.Neil took a picture of us up above.

Then we did chapter challenge, I did some at home because we didn't have that much time. For chapter chat I made a slide about Iguazu waterfall. For the other one I made a document and wrote instructions to make fire.

Cantamath

  Kia ora Last week, we had been asked to join cantamath. There are a lot of things you do in cantamath, but as a class we all had to design a model and create it. We as a class have to make a poster for the new cantamath next year too.  There is one that we all can't participate on though, and it is you having to be in a team competing with other teams from other schools. They must compete by solving equations and they also need to be quick before the time runs out. We have about five weeks to finish our creations, after a week(or a month)(something like that) we will go to horncastle arena(We might not, because of covid19) For my creation, I am making these, but I might add more and change them slightly. Lit circle

Kia Ora, This week we started on lit circles. But before we started, we had to pick a book to read to explain about. I got a book called posted, it's a book about Anderson and middle school, him and his friend going through a crazy journey. We also had to pick what our job/task is.
